WELCOME

Hello everyone. As you can see from my BLOG title my name is Bruce Bogese and I'm a Computer Assisted Drafting and Design teacher. Currently, I'm teaching at Prince Edward County High School which is located in Prince Edward County in the town of Farmville. I have been teaching at PECHS since August of 1998. Previously, I taught one year in the Nottoway School system. I also taught Interior Design classes at a private college in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for 3 years starting in 1987. I returned to Petersburg, Virginia, where I was born and raised, to continue my education in 1990. I attended Richard Bland College in Petersburg and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where I earned a degree in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education.

I'm also the girl's volleyball, girl's and boy's swim, and boy's tennis coach. I began coaching the boy's tennis team the same year I began teaching.

My wife is employed at Longwood University in the admissions department so I feel I know first hand what College and Universities are looking for in high school students academically and I can relay that message on to the students I instruct through my wife's message.

I also have a son who will be attending high school next year.
